DGA - 401 Distinguished Sustainable Development Goals AmbassadorThe Distinguished Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Ambassador program was developed for KSU undergraduate and graduate students, to foster youth leadership and give students the opportunity to assist in the promotion of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the University community and beyond. Through this program, students gain an understanding and experience working with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, learning how to successfully implement the goals in their communities, and creating dynamic SDG-focused action plans to address the needs of their fellow students, staff, and faculty.
The Division of Global Affairs partnered with the Department of Student Leadership and Services and worked closely with students to develop campus-focused sustainable development action plans that will be implemented at the university level or in our local communities. On completion of the program, students will demonstrate their understanding of SDGs by facilitating four SDG presentations; exhibit community engagement by completing 16 hours of community service; apply community development knowledge by developing a targeted action plan in collaboration with other ambassadors; and presenting and promoting their final action plan to the KSU community. Earning Criteria: Learners demonstrate mastery of sustainable development, public speaking, leadership, and civic engagement by completing the three Distinguished Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) associated Level II Badges:
A primary component of this is presenting on a final action plan to the community during EQUINOX Week.
