ES 6530: Advanced Laboratory Techniques in Exercise Physiology 3 Credit Hours Concurrent: ES 6510 Techniques and research applications for measuring, assessing, and evaluating physiological parameters.
Course Learning Outcomes Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
1. Apply advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of physiological instrumentation and laboratory procedures.
2. Demonstrate competency in appropriately utilizing physiological instrumentation and laboratory procedures for measurement and assessment.
3. Demonstrate competency in evaluation of physiological measurements and assessments based upon expected physiological responses to exercise testing, as well as anthropometric and physical activity population norms.
4. Develop and utilize appropriate laboratory methodology for examining research questions.
5. Interpret original scholarly and review articles in laboratory instrumentation and to appropriately utilize and disseminate the information.
