GWST 3100:Gender and the US South 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 Gender and the U.S. South examines intersections between cultural norms and values of the southern United States with gender and related identity categories such as race, class, and sexuality. The course invites students to consider ways that gender, race, class, and sexuality are complicated by and related to regional ideas, history, and identity. Additionally, the course explores gender in the U.S. South in connection with other cultures in the Global South.
