ENGL 4401:Topics in African Literatures 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 This course is a study of a selected topic in the areas of orature, literature, performance texts, film and/or other media produced in Africa. The course might focus on an author or group of authors: “The Plays of Wole Soyinka”; a region or country: “Twentieth Century South African Literature”; a movement or event: “African Writers of the Negritude Movement”; a theme or issue: “Women’s Rights in African Literature”; or a combination of these categories.
