Program Description
The Master of Science in Digital Financial Technologies is a cross disciplinary program that prepares students for career opportunities in the area of integrating technology into providing banking, lending, payments, insurance, and investment services. It provides a strong foundation in the technologies, techniques, and tools employed in one of the largest financial technology domains, digital payments. Students will learn about cutting-edge technologies in digital payments such as blockchain, popular AI machine-learning techniques, as well as the financial knowledge required to work in the industry. Graduates of the program will be ready to immediately apply their skills to solving financial technology challenges in the real world.
Program Student Learning Outcomes
Students who successfully complete this program will be able to:
- Effectively create business solutions in a collaborative environment using design thinking.
- Effectively demonstrate how transactions are validated and secured.
- Assess impact of threats native to the FinTech domain.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills using appropriate analytical techniques.
- Effectively demonstrate teamwork, leadership, and communications skills needed in the FinTech environment.

Admissions, Enrollment, and Graduation Criteria
Admissions Criteria
The following are program-specific criteria beyond the general Graduate Admissions requirements. To be considered for admission to this program, the following application materials must be submitted to the KSU Graduate Admissions Office:
- Resume/Vita required.
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum undergraduate degree GPA 2.75.

Graduation Criteria
