Program Description

The Computer Science Endorsement program is designed for teachers who are interested in adding the field of computer science education to a current, renewable teaching certificate held in a content area other than computer science. Applicants’ certificate level must be level 4 or higher and at any grade level pre-kindergarten through 12th grade or another eligible field. Candidates who successfully complete the program are prepared to be effective computer science educators at the pre-kindergarten through 12th grade level. 

This program is a part of the Leland and Clarice C. Bagwell College of Education . 

Accreditation

This program has been approved by the GaPSC.

Admissions, Enrollment, and Graduation Criteria

Admissions Criteria

Applicants’ certificate level must be level 4 or higher and at any grade level pre-kindergarten through 12th grade or another eligible field. Visit the Admissions  section of the Catalog for more details.

Enrollment Criteria

This program does not have specific enrollment requirements. 

Graduation Criteria

Each student is expected to meet the requirements outlined in Academic Policy 5.0 PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS & GRADUATION .
