Program Description

To be eligible for a minor in Computer Game Design and Development, the student must complete the following courses with a grade of “C” or better. Any upper level (3000+) courses that are required in the major may not be used as credit for the minor. Other upper level CGDD courses may be used as substitutes. Students must have at least 9 upper level CGDD hours not required for their major (CGDD courses taken as electives for your major bachelor’s degree can be used to complete the minor).

Program Student Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this program will be able to: 

  1. Explain a complex computing problem and select principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to illustrate solutions. 
  2. Analyze, model and present a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline. 
  3. Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts. 
  4. Recognize professional responsibilities and make reasoned judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles. 
  5. Function dependably as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline.

This program does not have specific enrollment requirements. 

Graduation Criteria

Each student is expected to meet the requirements outlined in Academic Policy 5.0 PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS & GRADUATION .
