Program Description
The minor in Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies allows students to study the culture, politics, and history of one of the most significant world regions. Although students in any major will benefit from completing this minor, students in history, international affairs, political science, philosophy, economics, and business will gain knowledge in an area vital to our national interests that advances their career opportunities. At least twelve hours counted toward the minor must not duplicate hours counted toward the major.
Program Student Learning Outcomes
Students who successfully complete this program will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the history and government of the region.
- Effectively analyze political, social, geographic, economic and historical relationships and forces that have impacted the region.
- Think critically about international and intercultural relationships that impact the region.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
This program is a part of the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences .

Enrollment Criteria
This program does not have specific enrollment criteria; however, students are expected to meet the requirements of Academic Policy 4.0 ACADEMIC STANDING, DISMISSAL, & REINSTATEMENT .
Graduation Criteria
Each student is expected to meet the requirements outlined in Academic Policy 5.0 PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS & GRADUATION .
