Program Description

The Minor in Information Systems (IS) is made up of six (6) courses and can be a useful complement for a large number of degrees at KSU. The Minor is designed to prepare students with expertise to identify organizational needs, allocate technology-based solutions, and solve problems. 

Program Student Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this program will be able to: 

  1. Apply fundamental information systems principles to enhance business processes and decision-making.
  2. Analyze the role of information systems in organizations and their impact on managerial decision-making.
  3. Design and develop structured and interactive web applications using fundamental web technologies.
  4. Analyze business requirements to develop structured system design solutions.

Admissions, Enrollment, and Graduation Criteria

Admissions Criteria

Admission to this program is open to all students who meet Kennesaw State University’s general admission standards. Visit the Admissions  section of the Catalog for more details.

Enrollment Criteria

This program does not have specific enrollment criteria; however, students are expected to meet the requirements of Academic Policy 4.0 ACADEMIC STANDING, DISMISSAL, & REINSTATEMENT 

Graduation Criteria

Each student is expected to meet the requirements outlined in Academic Policy 5.0 PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS & GRADUATION .
