Program Description

The multi-disciplinary field of gerontology deals with the sociology, psychology, and physiology of aging. A key goal is to develop a more realistic perception of the aging process.

Program Student Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this program will be able to:

  1. Able to identify patterns of aging among different social groups and demographics.
  2. Apply various theories of aging to explain problems affecting older adults.
  3. Explain the three processes of aging- sociological, psychological, and physiological.
