Program Description
The Art History minor program welcomes students who are pursuing any major program of study at Kennesaw State. In their art-historical coursework, students learn about visual culture from a range of periods, regions, and cultures, and they develop skills in critical thinking, communication, and global engagement. The minor program therefore helps students to achieve many career and professional goals.
Program Student Learning Outcomes
Students who successfully complete this program will be able to:
- Identify and describe the forms and styles of key art monuments produced during different time periods and geographical locations using appropriate art historical terminology.
- Apply art history methodologies to interpret the content of art works within their historically accurate contexts.
- Write and speak clearly, effectively, and analytically through inquiry, research, and creative practice.
- Apply professional practice skills to the field of art history.
