This program of study offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. Bachelor of Arts students must demonstrate competence in a foreign language through the level of FL 2002.
Students audition for placement into one of four concentrations within the Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Theory, Composition, Musicology, or Ethnomusicology.

Specific General Education requirements for this major
Graduation Requirement
Students will be required to pass with a satisfactory grade (S) six semesters of MUAP 1101: Audience Participation, to be eligible to graduate. They must be enrolled every semester in this course until the requirement is accomplished. University-Wide Fitness For Living Requirement (3 Credit Hours)

- Twelve hours of upper-division non-music studies beyond the major requirements as approved by the academic advisor. Lower-division courses may also be approved when appropriate.
Non-Music Electives (12 Credit Hours)
- Any non-music course in the university catalog.
Notes:
