The Exercise and Health Science major program is designed for students seeking academic preparation in the exercise, fitness and/or health areas. This program of study prepares students to become leaders in the fitness profession, and to organize and deliver health promotion programs in private, public, or corporate wellness environments. The capstone to the program is a one academic semester internship experience working in an exercise and health science setting, or students can select pre-professional elective coursework to prepare for advanced or graduate studies, e.g., physical therapy, exercise physiology.
