IT 6443: Data Processing and Technologies 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: IT 5433 This course covers the fundamental concepts and practices of data processing and management. Students will explore technologies and techniques in broader areas, including data modeling, data engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, data science, data architecture, data integration, data service, and data governance. Students will also practice advanced database query techniques.
Course Learning Outcomes Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
1. Distinguish major data management areas defined in the data management body of knowledge.
2. Build advanced SQL queries to query databases.
3. Construct JSON type query techniques to query JSON type data in database.
4. Configure services to serve data through public interfaces.
