OP 7900: Master’s Capstone in Prosthetics and Orthotics 2 Credit Hours Concurrent: OP 7950 The Master’s Capstone Experience is an interdisciplinary research project that incorporates applied clinical, engineering knowledge and skills that students have acquired throughout the Masters of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics program to solve real-world clinical problems and issues. The culmination of student efforts is presented as an oral and poster presentation in a public forum.
Course Learning Outcomes Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
- Effectively locate, understand, critique, and evaluate information, including the quality of evidence and use scholarly literature to make evidence-based decisions.
- Demonstrate and apply basic statistics.
- Implement a scholarly study that evaluates professional practice issues.
- Produce a poster for presentation at the annual prosthetics and orthotics research symposium.
- Disseminate their research project via oral and poster presentation.
