EDL 9700: Professional Seminar: Cases in School Leadership and Practicum 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Admission to the EdD in Teacher Leadership or the EdD in Educational Leadership. This course is designed to equip school leadership candidates with practical skills and experience through the use of real-world case studies and role-playing scenarios. Students will engage in activities that simulate high-level mentoring, crisis response, curriculum development, team leadership, and other critical aspects of school leadership. This hands-on approach allows candidates to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations, fostering the development of essential leadership competencies.
Course Learning Outcomes Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
- Apply leadership theories and principles to real-world educational scenarios.
- Demonstrate effective mentoring and coaching strategies.
- Respond to various mental, emotional, instructional, personnel, and Safety Crises.
- Design and evaluate curriculum initiatives.
- Lead and manage diverse teams effectively.
