PRWR 6451: Writing for Young Adults

3 Credit Hours
This is a workshop course focused on writing for the young adult market. This course will examine the present-day young adult arena in the genres of fiction, playwriting, poetry, and screen and television writing. Students will also investigate the history of the young adult market in all these genres, examine the limitations and possibilities each genre has in the present-day YA market, and explore how each genre directly and indirectly influences each other. The skills learned will assist students as they pursue all creative writing genres for any and all audiences.
