SW 7801: Applied Social Work Practice 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Advanced Standing in the MSW Program. This comprehensive advanced practice course focuses on the critical analysis, interpretation, and application of the direct practice skills essential in advanced clinical practice. This course will concentrate on: the ethics of scientific inquiry in the conceptualization and formulation of problems; as well as the demonstration of practice skills for conducting a Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual assessment and plan within diverse practice settings and interprofessional teams.
Course Learning Outcomes Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
- Analyze complex social issues by examining the interplay between individual, community, and systemic factors, empowering you to design multi-faceted, culturally sensitive intervention strategies.
- Evaluate the efficacy of social work practices and programs using evidence-based methods, enabling you to contribute to the advancement of the field through informed critical reflections and recommendations.
