ES 7800: Administrative Field Experience 1-9 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Permission of the graduate program director This course is a supervised administrative field experience in an approved exercise science or sport management setting. This individually designed experience is designed to enhance administrative and supervisory skills of the graduate student relevant to the desired area of exploration or identified need area. The field experience purpose, objectives, duration, and site must be approved by the graduate program director.
Note: Students will need to have their field experience approved by the Graduate Program Director before registering.
Course Learning Outcomes Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
1. Apply discipline related knowledge and skills directly and effectively in an exercise or sport related setting.
2. Identify and discuss professional strengths and weaknesses for the work undertaken in the field experience.
3. Evaluate and explain how professional skill set and network has improved as a result of the internship experience.
4. Evaluate experience in a highly descriptive manner, and include a high degree of personal reflection through the regular log reports.
