MUAP 3100: Applied Lessons 1 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: Must be a fully admitted music minor. Applied music encompasses the areas of instrumental and vocal performance. It is offered in the form of private lessons for music majors and minors.
Course Learning Outcomes Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
- Perform with appropriate technique and musicianship in at least one major performance area at a level appropriate for the particular music concentration.
- Demonstrate understanding of repertory in their major performance area and the ability to perform from a cross section of that repertory, as appropriate for the particular music concentration.
- Demonstrate the ability to read at sight with fluency demonstrating both general musicianship and, in the major performance area, a level of skill relevant to professional standards appropriate to the particular music concentration.
