HON 1200: Honors Connections 1 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: Admission to the Keeping Sights Upward Journey Honors College. This course connects students to academic opportunities and campus resources essential to an honors education. Students attend workshops and events with peers, engage with community partners and mentors, and complete an application for an external scholarship or fellowship.
Notes: Together with HON 1100, this course comprises the Honors first-year experience.
Course Learning Outcomes Students who successfully complete this program will be able to:
- Identify academic opportunities, campus resources, community partners, and mentors that will help you develop as a lifelong learner, collaborative leader, and civic-minded scholar.
- Participate in and reflect on academic, social, professional, and civic learning experiences.
- Apply for an external scholarship or fellowship with the support of Honors faculty and staff.
