ENED 2110: Themes in Humanities Education

3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 
This course engages teacher candidates in analyses of critical and contemporary education issues. Candidates investigate issues influencing the social and political contexts of educational settings while actively examining the teaching profession, specifically humanities-based secondary educational settings, from multiple vantage points both within and outside the school. Against this backdrop, candidates reflect upon and interpret education and schooling in a diverse culture. Includes 15 hours of observation and participation in an appropriate school setting.


Notes: Students are required to complete a 15 hour field experience throughout the semester.
