ASIA 4409: Capstone in Asian Studies

3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: Senior Standing.
This capstone course is designed to synthesize and connect students’ prior academic experiences in the major and related fields of study. Students prepare a final portfolio, which includes a career readiness component, as their capstone project.

Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

Articulate the complexity of Asian civilizations.
Critically examine historical and contemporary issues in Asian societies.
Utilize interdisciplinary theories and methods to understand Asian intercultural context.
