SYE 6005: Introduction to Systems Engineering 3 Credit Hours The goal is to introduce the student to the essential principles, processes, and practices associated with the application of Systems Engineering. The applicability and use of Process Standards will be examined. Emphasis will focus on defining the problem to be solved, establishing the initial system architecture, understanding the role of system life-cycles, requirements development, and verification and validation of the realized system. Students who do not have a background in Systems or Industrial Engineering should take this course as early as possible.
