ODE - 401 KSU Course Quality Checklist Peer Review TrainingIn this digital certificate KSU RCHSS faculty will master the ability to review an online course with an eye to whether it satisfies KSU Course Quality Checklist criteria. Faculty participate in a workshop that includes a two hour information presentation, followed by a week of reviewing a mock course. Finally, the course includes an hour long discussion of findings during the review process and discussion of language and tone in the review process.
At the end of this workshop, faculty will be able to:
1) identify how to begin a review of a course using the RCHSS Course Quality Checklist
2) review a course and complete the checklist, including helpful information for faculty developers in moving the course to meet KSU Course Quality standards
3) describe how to support faculty in moving the course to meet KSU Course Quality standards, including directing faculty to additional resources.
Earning Criteria: Learners demonstrate peer review, evaluation of information, course evaluations, design review, professionalism, and project flows by attending the three hours of synchronous, online meetings and then completing a peer review on a mock RCHSS course. This mock review is reviewed by the Director of the ODE and discussed in a follow-up meeting.
