DLI - 101 Accessible Teaching Essentials  The ‘Accessible Teaching Essentials’ micro-credential demonstrates successful completion of a three-week workshop designed to give Kennesaw State instructors an introduction to the topic of accessible education and provide initial resources to practice making their course content accessible for their students.
Upon completion of this micro-credential, learners will be able to:
- Discuss the issue of accessible teaching and its legal and ethical ramifications.
- Identify steps you can take to make your course accessible.
- Discuss Universal Design for Learning as a strategy for addressing deficiencies.
- Practice creating accessible course content.
- Use Ally to review resources for accessibility.
Earning Criteria: To earn this micro-credential, learners must:
- Create at least one accessible document, video, presentation, etc. Learners also show that they have run an Ally check on a specific item as well as the Ally course report.
