CPE - 102 EKG Technician  The ‘EKG Technician’ micro-credential confirms the learner has developed the necessary skills in theory and hands-on instruction needed to effectively perform and interpret an EKG. Students will learn anatomy of the cardiovascular system, electrophysiology, lead placement, types of rhythms, AV blocks, and myocardial infarction. Students will also learn the basics of HIPAA security and privacy as it relates to the profession. Hands-on training in 12-lead EKG placement, heart rate calculation, and rhythm strip interpretation are also performed.
Earning Criteria: To earn this micro-credential, learners must:
