BCOE - 001 Science of Reading for ELs

The ‘Science of Reading for ELs’ souvenir represents participation in the KSU ESOL Conference’s Science of Reading Track. The Science of Reading sessions at the ESOL conference reflect evidence-based practice in the application of reading instruction to English Learners.

Upon completion of this micro-credential, learners will be able to:

• Understand the foundational principles of the Science of Reading and how they apply to multilingual learners.

• Explore evidence-based instructional strategies that effectively support ESOL students in developing literacy skills.

• Apply research-backed interventions in their classrooms to enhance decoding, fluency, and comprehension for English learners.

• Attend three science of reading sessions at the ESOL Conference.
