PHYS 2211 - Principles of Physics I3 Class Hours 3 Laboratory Hours 4 Credit Hours Prerequisite: A grade of “C” or better in MATH 1190. The Principles of Physics sequence (PHYS 2211 and PHYS 2212) is a survey of the primary fields of physics: mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, thermodynamics, and modern physics. Elementary calculus will be used in the course, with laboratory exercises supplementing the lecture material. The first course of the sequence will focus on the field of classical mechanics and its applications.
