MATH 4322 - Discrete Mathematics II3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: A grade of “C” or better in MATH 3322 and CS 2301. This course is a continuation of the topics begun in MATH 3322: Discrete Mathematics I. Advanced counting techniques will include Stirling Numbers of the first and second kind, derangements and rook polynomials. Trees and other Graph Theory topics will be introduced. Optimization problems from Graph Theory will include the traveling salesman problem, matchings, and domination chain values. Additional topics will vary according to the instructor.
