GEOG 3305 - Introduction to Cartographic Processes3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: MATH 1107; CSIS 2300; and GEOG 1101 or GEOG 2105. This course is an introduction to the processes and technology of cartography, the science and art of map making. The foundations of map construction and design will be presented from theoretical and applied perspectives. Students will be introduced to hands-on and computerized mapping, leading to a basic appreciation of the map as the integral component of geographic information systems data analysis. SSED majors this course will not count as an upper division GEOG requirement for your degree program.
