GEOG 1113 - Introduction to Landforms3 Class Hours 1 Laboratory Hours 4 Credit Hours Prerequisite: None. This course examines aspects of physical geography such as plate tectonics, rocks and soils, river systems, coastal systems, glaciers, and karst topography. Emphasis is on the evolution and distribution of these physical landforms and resultant landscapes, as well as the processes that have shaped them. The lab focuses on practical and applied aspects of landform patterns and processes. Lab work includes the use of topographic maps and aerial photographs, the identification of rocks and minerals, and the analysis of landscape features.
