ENGL 4240 - Rhetorical Theory3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: A grade of “C” or better in ENGL 2110. This course is a study of major texts in rhetorical theory from antiquity to the present, focusing on the major issues in rhetoric, especially the relationship of language to truth and knowledge; students gain practice in using rhetorical concepts to analyze both literary and non-literary texts and produce effective written and spoken arguments.
