BIOL 4350 - Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy3 Class Hours 3 Laboratory Hours 4 Credit Hours Prerequisite: A grade of “C” or better in BIOL 1108/1108L and PHYS 1111 or PHYS 2211. This course is a survey of representative vertebrates and related chordates emphasizing phylogeny and anatomical adaptations. Students will explore evolutionary trends in the context of large-scale environmental changes that have occurred over geologic time. In the lab, students will learn to dissect selected vertebrate organisms and experimentally determine the physical forces acting on the evolution of vertebrates.
