BIOL 3340 - Microbiology3 Class Hours 3 Laboratory Hours 4 Credit Hours Prerequisite: A grade of “C” or better in BIOL 1107/1107L and BIOL 1108/1108L. This course is a study of prokaryotes, unicellular eukaryotes and viruses. Students will learn about the nature of microorganisms and the techniques used to study microbes. Students will explore the morphology, metabolism, growth, and genetics of various microbes. In the laboratory, students will learn to culture, identify and quantify microorganisms.
