ASTR 3320 - Astronomy and Cosmology3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: A grade of “C” or better in any core lab science sequence. An introduction to stellar Astronomy and Cosmology. Topics include stellar structure and evolution, end states of stars such as white dwarfs and black holes, active galaxies and quasars, the large-scale structure of the universe, and theories for the origin and evolution of the Universe. This course will emphasize physical principles and conceptual understanding.
