ARH 4750 - American Landscape Painting3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: ARH 2850 and ENGL 1102. This course consists of an in-depth exploration of the phenomenon of American landscape painting. It traces the development of this discipline in the United States and explores the artistic, social, political and historical implications of the images within the context of American Romanticism, Impressionism and Realism from its beginnings in the early eighteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth century.
