Undergraduate Academic Policies


Academic policies at Kennesaw State University are divided into seven (7) categories, outlined below: 

 

Section 1: General University Regulations   Section 2: Registration Policies   Section 3: Grading Policies   Section 4: Academic Standing, Probation, and Readmission
General University Regulations includes policies that pertain to the general operations of the university.    Registration Policies includes policies that pertain to registration, or process of enrolling in courses.    Grading Policies includes policies that pertain to awarding and receiving grades for standard and unique course types.    Academic Standing, Probation, and Readmission Policies details the policies that dictate expectations for students to progress through a program of study and the consequences if these expectations are not met. 

 

Section 5: Program Requirements and Graduation Policies   Section 6: Transfer and Placement Policies   Section 7: Faculty Curriculum Development Policies
Program Requirements and Graduation Policies includes policies for graduation, or the completion and awarding of a degree, certificate, or other program of study.    Transfer and Placement Policies include policies that pertain to the transferring of coursework from another institution or for learning at the secondary education level. It also includes policies related to matriculation, or the process of entering and first enrolling at the institution, to ensure students are placed in the correct course.    Faculty Curriculum Development Policies include policies for faculty who are proposing new coursework.
