Program Description

The program description emphasizes key management processes such as planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling. These terms directly relate to skills like project management (planning and organizing), human resource management (staffing), leadership (directing), and operations management (controlling). The description also highlights decision-making and resource allocation, which align with problem-solving and analytical skills. By using this specific language, the program description clearly communicates the development of these essential workforce skills, ensuring that students understand the practical applications of their studies in real-world management roles. 

Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this program will be able to: 

  1. Recognize issues related to behavior of individuals and groups in organizations.
  2. Recognize issues related to human resource management.
  3. Apply effective group decision making and problem solving resulting in organizational behavior solutions
  4. Apply effective group decision making and problem solving resulting in human resource management solutions
  5. Recognize issues related to project management.
  6. Apply the planning component of the project life cycle by creating a project management plan using project management software.
  7. Demonstrate proficiency with analytic business tools and related technologies (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
  8. Apply analytic business tools and data to analyze a business problem and communicate findings and recommendations.

Admissions, Enrollment, and Graduation Criteria

Admissions Criteria

Admission to Coles BBA programs is separate from Admissions  to Kennesaw State University. Students must meet the program requirements, outlined below. In order to be able to take upper-division courses  and graduate with a Management BBA, students must successfully:

  • Meet the Coles College Sophomore GPA Requirement
  • Be admitted to the Coles Undergraduate Professional Program. Admission to the Coles Undergraduate Professional Program is separate from admission to Kennesaw State University.

Enrollment Criteria

This program does not have specific enrollment criteria; however, students are expected to meet the requirements of Academic Policy 4.0 ACADEMIC STANDING, DISMISSAL, & REINSTATEMENT .

Graduation Criteria

Each student is expected to meet the requirements outlined in Academic Policy 5.0 PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS & GRADUATION .

Related Studies (6 Credit Hours)


Select 6 credit hours of 3000-4000 level coursework from the following prefixes: ACCT, BLAW, BUSA, CYBR, ECON, ENTR, FIN, FTA, HMGT, INS, IS, MGT, MKTG, RE. A maximum of 6 hours of credit in Management, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality Experiential Learning such as Internships and Co-ops may be used in this area. Experiential Learning cannot be used in any other area.

University Electives (3 Credit Hours)


In accordance with KSU Graduation Policy, students must earn a grade of “D” or better in these courses while maintaining a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA.
