The Department of Health, Physical Education & Sport Science provides: (a) an elective physical education activity program, (b) the required general education core course HPS 1000 Fitness for Living, and, Health, Physical Education, and Sport Science and, (c) the health, physical education and sport science major programs of study. The program of study includes three majors: (a) exercise and health science major; (b) health and physical education (P-12) major which is found in the Bagwell College of Education teacher education program and (c) sport management major. In addition, the department offers a minor in coaching. Students interested in one of the majors or the minor should contact the office of the department chair (PE 169) for further information and appropriate advisement forms. Student should seek HPS faculty advisement early when planning their program of study and continue interacting with their advisor each semester during their study at Kennesaw State University.
