MGT 8980 - Service and Quality Management3 Class Hours 0 Laboratory Hours 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: MGT 8040 or equivalent. This course has two major components. The first component is providing an in-depth study of the key concepts and practices of modern quality philosophies and techniques. The opportunities to add value through quality in all phases of business and product life cycles will be identified. Concepts and methods of statistical quality control will be presented. The second component is focusing on the development of a clear understanding of service management from multiple perspectives. Students will learn to define, diagnose, design, measure, control, and change service with the objective of improving quality and productivity.
