PSYC 4499: Capstone in Psychological Science

3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: PSYC 4100  and (PSYC 4410  or PSYC 4415  or PSYC 4345  or PSYC 4455 ) and Senior Standing
Description:
This capstone course serves as the culmination of students’ undergraduate experience in psychology, integrating diverse perspectives and topics explored throughout their studies to foster a comprehensive understanding of the field and prepare students for future academic, professional, or applied endeavors. The course focuses on applying academic knowledge and skills, including oral and written communication, to the examination of contemporary issues, problems, research, and theories from the different areas identified in the psychology curriculum.


Course Learning Outcomes
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  1. Identify and describe concepts from diverse fields, practices, and processes within psychological science.
  2. Apply academic knowledge regarding psychology in a career-readiness context.
