JAPN 3303: Practical Grammar 3 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: JAPN 2002 This course is a general review of grammar and introduction to frequently used intermediate level sentence patterns. It offers rigorous grammatical instruction that includes readings of summaries, correspondences, descriptions, narrations, literary analyses, and other rhetorical and culturally appropriate forms.
Notes: This course is taught in Japanese.
Course Learning Outcomes Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
1. Express themselves at a more sophisticated level and discuss social or cultural topics with more complex sentence structures and vocabulary.
2. Demonstrate an improvement in reading and writing skills.
3. Read and write 62 new kanji.
4. Recognize and use honorific, respectful, modest and humble language.
