MATH 2008: Foundations of Numbers and Operations

3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: The completion of Mathematics and Applied Math IMPACT Core courses with a minimum grade of “C” or higher, and enrolled in one of the following majors: Elementary Education, Elementary Education (Interest), Early Childhood Birth to Kindergarten Traditional, or Early Childhood Birth to Kindergarten Traditional (Interest).
This course is an introductory mathematics course for early childhood education majors. The course emphasizes the understanding and use of the major concepts of number and operations. As a general theme, strategies of problem solving are used and discussed in the context of various topics.
