NURS 7835: Clinical Management of Key Populations 2 Credit Hours Prerequisite: NURS 7830 This course is designed to facilitate acquisition of comprehensive knowledge to manage complex conditions in key populations that experience marginalization related to social determinants of health. This course focuses on the nurse practitioner’s role in assessing population health, utilizing prevention strategies, and managing complex, chronic conditions and emerging health problems. Emphasis is placed upon the competencies that position the NP as a high functioning member of interprofessional healthcare teams and an advocate for minimizing health disparities.
