ENGR 8220: Software Defined Radio and Networking for the Internet of Things 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Admission to the Interdisciplinary Engineering, Ph.D. program This course covers the current research behind the modulation schemes, protocols, and advanced networking topics. The course has a research focus that prepares the student for the latest wireless communications and software defined networking techniques and regimens. Of particular focus will be on Internet of Things that have high mobility such as vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles. At the completion of the course students are able to design end-to-end smart infrastructure and their functional roles.
