Stat 7100 is designed to give students the foundation in statistical methods necessary for further study in the Master of Science in Applied Statistics program. The course begins with a study of statistical distributions (binomial, Poisson, uniform, exponential, gamma, chi-square and normal), descriptive statistics, the Central Limit Theorem, t-tests (one-sample, two-sample and paired) and confidence intervals.
