3Credit Hours Prerequisite:ENGL 1102 This course is a study of theories and methods of linguistics applied to real-world issues. It explores linguistic applications to one or more of the following areas: language learning and teaching; language use in intercultural contexts; corpus and computational approaches; psycholinguistics and cognition; forensic linguistics and language policy; and careers that emphasize language creation and usage.
