PSYC 4460: Child Psychopathology 3 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: PSYC 1101 and Completion of one of the following Developmental Area courses: PSYC 2103 , PSYC 3130 , PSYC 3205 , or PSYC 3315 This course is an advanced level course focusing on the etiology, classification, assessment, and treatment of a select group of child and adolescent psychological disorders that are most frequently encountered by professionals in mental health and educational settings. The primary task of the child clinician is to identify and treat those children who suffer from emotional and/or behavioral problems that significantly interfere with their development and functioning.
