SCI 7720:Cross-Cutting Concepts in Science 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: Admission into MAT, M.Ed. in Middle and Secondary Science, Ed.S. in Middle Grade Science graduate program or permission from instructor Teachers and teacher candidates enrolled in this course will explore the interdisciplinary nature of a topic in science by examining how cross-cutting concepts are examined, measured, and tested in physics, chemistry, and biology. The cross-cutting concepts may include: patterns in science; cause and effect; scale, proportion, and quantity; systems and system models; energy and matter; structure and function; and stability and change.
